In July 2012, I was commissioned by the New Statesman - along with several other international photographers: Daido Moriyama, Alex Webb, Jan Stradtmann, Noemie Goudal, Gueorgui Pinkhassov, Mishka Henner and Richard Mosse - to create 'contemporary translations' of a number of the photographs being exhibited in Tate Britain's exhibition, 'Another London: International Photographers Capture City Life - 1930-1980' (Tate Britain, 27th July-16th September, 2012). The following images are the result of my engagement with this particular collection of photographs.
